P Ó Riain

Science Fiction. Thriller. Stout. Metaphysical Craic. Bitten Reality.

Cells, stars and molecules: we are the universe.

“Time is an illusion, Chaska, but we are here in the present where we need to be.”Is Barcelona as sweet as it looks? Is anywhere?
Paran works, parties, parties and works. But a burning sensation inside him refuses to die out. His gut screams that there’s more to the universe, more to him than reality shows.
Parties are meant for partying. Meditation is meant for calming.
He gets handed a mysterious green gem that holds the power to save Earth from an extraterrestrial race hurtling towards earth to plunder and destroy it.
Friendships are made and enemies revealed, as Paran must find a way to Ireland while beating corruption, helping friends and realising his true self.

Let's stay in touch. Join the newsletter for updates and a short story when I finally get around to that last draft. Don't worry, I'm anti-spam and a bit lazy, so you'll probably get the story, and I'll tell ye about any new books in the series. Nothing else.

Behind the pages

What’s there to say? I’m just another Irish writer trying to figure my place out in this crazy world. It usually comes in pint size and leaves a trail of cream and a taste for another.
Ah, but seriously lads, when I’m not writing you’ll find me cycling through Barcelona’s many different streets or hanging out with the family. That often means looking at insects or chasing lizards with my daughter.
I’m legally obliged to tell ye that the photo's not me. It’s one of our clever birds. I call her my editor ‘cause there’s nothing she likes more than hopping onto the keyboard and pecking away.
